It was difficult for me to figure out what to wear to my nephew’s christening. Christenings and baptisms always take place in a church, so you should dress conservative. My initial thought was that I should think more along the lines of business casual. The difficulty for me was drawing a line between workwear and a fun fashionable look that is conservative but isn’t necessarily work appropriate. I generally like to separate all of my many worlds and that includes my fashions.
Top: I wore a silk style black bodysuit. The bodysuit has a deep v-cut that would be perfect for some classy cleavage. However, we’re in church! So I pinned the top for a conservative look.
Bottoms: I paired the bodysuit with a knee length floral skirt. Floral is definitely “in” this season so I took full advantage.
Shoes: I decided to finish the look with black sock booties.
If you’re going to a christening or baptism you should look chic and stylish but avoid looking like you’re on your way to the office.
